Self-Cleaning Process

Initiating Self-Clean

Press and hold the "Clean" button for 3 seconds until the clean indicator light illuminates. Select desired cleaning time (2, 3, or 4 hours) based on soil level.

Door Lock Activation

The oven door will automatically lock once cleaning cycle begins. The "Lock" indicator light will remain on throughout the cleaning process for safety.

High-Temperature Cleaning

During the cycle, oven temperature rises to approximately 880°F (471°C), reducing food soils to fine ash that can be easily wiped away after cooling.

Cool Down Phase

After cleaning time completes, the oven enters cool down phase. The door remains locked until interior temperature drops below 600°F (315°C).

Post-Cleaning Care

Once unlocked, wipe interior with damp cloth to remove ash residue. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on oven surfaces.

Cycle Interruption

To stop cleaning cycle, turn oven control to "Off." The door will remain locked until safe temperature is reached, which may take 30-60 minutes.

Cleaning Time Recommendations

2-Hour Cycle

Light soil conditions, regular maintenance cleaning

3-Hour Cycle

Moderate soil, typical monthly cleaning

4-Hour Cycle

Heavy soil, baked-on spills, quarterly deep cleaning

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Self-clean won't start Door not closed properly, control lock engaged Ensure door is fully closed, check control lock settings
Excessive smoke during cleaning Heavy grease deposits, large food spills Wipe up major spills before starting, use shorter cycle time
Door won't open after cleaning Oven still too hot, door lock mechanism engaged Wait for oven to cool completely, lock will release automatically
Error code displayed System malfunction, temperature sensor issue Turn oven off for 1 minute, then retry. If persists, call service
Unusual odors Normal during first few uses, plastic packaging residue Run empty baking cycle before first self-clean, ensure proper ventilation
Incomplete cleaning Insufficient cleaning time, extremely heavy soil Use longer cleaning cycle, manually remove heavy deposits first
