Safety Instructions

Important Safety Warnings:

  • Never use oven cleaners or other harsh chemicals in self-cleaning oven
  • Remove all oven racks before starting self-cleaning cycle
  • Ensure proper ventilation during cleaning cycle
  • Keep children and pets away from oven during cleaning
  • Do not line oven bottom with aluminum foil

Before You Begin

  1. Remove All Items: Take out all oven racks, baking stones, and any other accessories.
  2. Clean Loose Debris: Wipe out any loose food particles or spills from oven interior.
  3. Check Ventilation: Ensure kitchen is well-ventilated by opening windows or using exhaust fan.
  4. Clear Surrounding Area: Remove any combustible materials from around the oven.
  5. Verify Door Lock: Test that oven door locks properly before starting cycle.
Warning: The oven will become extremely hot during self-cleaning cycle. Do not touch oven surfaces until completely cooled.

Items to Remove Before Cleaning

  • Oven Racks: All metal racks must be removed
  • Probe Thermometer: If applicable, remove temperature probe
  • Baking Stones: Any ceramic or stone baking surfaces
  • Oven Liners: Remove any non-permanent oven liners
  • Accessories: All removable parts and accessories

Self-Cleaning Process

Step 1: Preparation

Remove all racks and accessories from oven. Wipe out any loose debris or major spills. Ensure oven door closes properly and locks securely.

Step 2: Setting the Cycle

Press "Clean" button on control panel. Select cleaning time (2 hours for light soil, 3-4 hours for heavy soil). Press "Start" to begin cycle.

Step 3: During Cleaning

Oven will heat to 880°F to burn off food residue. Door will automatically lock. You may notice smoke and odor - this is normal during cleaning.

Step 4: Cooling Period

After cleaning cycle completes, oven will cool for 1-2 hours. Door remains locked until temperature drops to safe level (below 600°F).

Step 5: Final Wipe

Once completely cooled, wipe out any remaining ash with damp cloth. Reinstall oven racks and accessories. Oven is ready for use.

Cleaning Time Recommendations

Light Soil

2 hours - For regular maintenance and light spills

Medium Soil

3 hours - For moderate baking residue and stains

Heavy Soil

4 hours - For significant baked-on spills and grease

Troubleshooting

Error Codes

  • F10: Oven temperature sensor issue - Contact service

  • F20: Clean cycle interruption - Restart cleaning process
  • LOC: Control panel locked - Press and hold Lock button for 3 seconds
